BIOGRAPHY
Values: Joy, Curiosity, and Harmony
Alyssa is an Atlanta based dancer, choreographer, educator, and fashion designer. She found her passion for movement, at the ripe age of three, training at the Royal Dance Academy (Suwanee, GA) under the direction of Sarah Haslock. There, Alyssa completed the globally recognized Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet curriculum. Additionally, she trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Horton, Graham, and Hip-Hop with the influential mentorship of Cici Kelley and Stephan Isijia Reynolds.

Alyssa will soon receive a B.F.A in Contemporary Dance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in May 2025. At the Conservatory, she trained in a wide array of techniques taught by highly acclaimed professors including Alissa Cardone, Kurt Douglas, Daniel McCusker, and John Lam. She performed the original works of world-renowned artists Joe Gonzalez, Danny Pelzig, Jennifer Archibald, and Hope Boykin. In Spring 2024, Alyssa further enriched her education by studying abroad at Accademia Dell Arte in Arezzo, Italy where she took courses such as Release Technique, Tanztheater, and Character Development.

Throughout college, Alyssa sought to build community through dance. She founded Low Stakes, an interdisciplinary improvisation club, choreographed 9 works, and taught low-resistance dance classes at senior citizen homes. Alyssa is passionate about eco-activism, and had her directorial debut in Fall 2024 with Concrete Bouquet: A Day of Dance in Nature, a dance performance that highlighted Nature's resilience in the face of climate change. Alyssa is excited continue to bring people together to move their bodies and commune with the earth in her post-grad endeavors.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I believe in humanity.

I believe that we are innately good
I believe that our bodies are sacred caverns of wisdom.
I believe that dance is the purest and most potent form of activism.

With this hope, I am emboldened to create art that reacts to, reflects upon, and challenges our collective consciousness. I feel that is my responsibility as an artist to bring our shared experiences into new lights and create visions for a harmonious future.
